A Friendly Competitor

Collins Insurance launched In Redwood City six year after Bedrosian & Associates was established a few blocks away. Suffice it to say that we’ve known each other for a long time. We often chatted with Ron after workouts at the same health club.

It seemed a natural fit for us when we learned that Ron was looking to retire and transfer his book of business to someone he knows and trusts.

A Smooth Succession Strategy

Ron wanted to be sure that the transition would be smooth and well thought through. We had over 40 meetings with him to devise a clear roadmap for welcoming his clients into the Bedrosian & Associates family.

Over the years, Ron has been dedicated to finding the perfect combination of benefits for each client’s situation and has made insurance shopping a stress-free experience. He wanted the transition to meet his exacting standards, and we were happy to accommodate his wishes.

Ron’s Account manager has been the first voice that his clients have heard for over 20 years. That remains the same during the transition. Clients who have yet to come under the Bedrosian & Associates umbrella, still have the same premium customer experience when they call Collins Insurance.

We’re happy to work with existing staff during lengthy transitions. Many long-term employees have valuable institutional memory and we’re glad to merge our teams. Younger team members typically share our tech-forward approach and are invaluable in moving clients from legacy systems or within modern platforms.

As Ron’s clients are onboarded, they’re welcomed into the B&A fold. We’ve build trust with them during the transition and won them over with our elite service, modern resources, responsiveness, and the prioritization of their needs.

A Long Glide Path

To help with the handoff, Ron and his staff still come into the office every day. Per his desires, we onboard each client as they come up for renewal. This approach makes for a logical low-friction changeover.

It’s going to be a couple of years before Ron hangs up his hat, but that’s how he wants the process to progress. We generally have about one enrollment meeting per week. Easy-peasy.
